Religious teaching at school…to build the future together
Offering catholic religion classes at school may assist everyone, whether
Christian or not, in recognising his or her own religious identity, while respecting
the values of others. Religious teaching at school is not primarily intended to convert pupils to the Catholic faith. It is instead meant to encourage the
mutual sharing of experiences and opinions and to learn how Italian culture
has developed in history from deep biblical roots, both Jewish and Christian.
The hour of religion at school is an important factor in building a future of
fraternity and peace.
Choosing catholic religion lessons at school is a valid educational choice also for pupils coming from far away. The choice is to be exercised at the time of enrolling pupils at school.
